Team Blue collapses yet again

After yet another pusillanimous display of cricket from the men in blue, its time we named them mice in blue. None of the six top order batsmen, each of who has played more than 70 tests, could score even a 50! So much for the best batting line up in the world! And I'll bet that none of them would even be ashamed of their spineless performance. Just another day in the field for them. The top seven Pakistani batsmen, in sharp contrast, scored more than 50 runs each. They put up a tremendous fightback, even without their captain, after the shock of their first innings paltry total. Hats off to them for viciously thrashing the Indian team who deserve no better.

So here's what should happen for the future test team
  1. Last warning to Tendulkar - perform or perish
  2. Last warning to Sehwag - when its responsibility time, be a man and shoulder the burden (you are the vice-captain after all), else you will be sacked
  3. Sack Ganguly - he had his chance and didn't make the most of it
  4. Get Kaif into the team
  5. Get another regular opener, try out both Gambhir and Jaffar, sack the one who doesn't perform or shows no potential to do so even in the future
  6. Try out more fast bowlers to see who can do regular duty for the test team, its vitally important to groom lots more fast bowlers and have a real strong bench strength in this department
Comments:
Well I don't mind losing a game. But I do when we surrender like cowards without even trying to put up a fight.

I was looking into the statsguru of cricinfo.com, and was trying to execute the query "india successfully chased 250+ in 4th innings and Tendulkar scored 100+" ... how many hits do you think I got?

I don't think you will get any/many hits. Strangely, whenever he plays well, India loses! I half seriously wish he doesn't play well nowadays because then we have some changes of winning. OTOH, if he doesn't play well, he's just a passenger :-(
