All that whining and begging had an effect after all...

Ganguly is back in the Indian test side. Undeservedly, I might add. He should have got the boot from the test side and asked to get plenty of runs before asking to be considered for the test side. He's in poor form and his attitude, of late, has been awful.

For the past so many days, Ganguly has been virtually begging to be let back into the team. Look at my past record, he kept whining. Frankly I expected better from someone so arrogant and proud of his cricket. To be reduced to such a state just shows poor class.

In other news, Kapil Dev has slammed Kolkattans for suggesting that they will boycott the Friday one-dayer because Ganguly is not in the ODI team. He rightly suggests that fans should look at what is best for the team and not what is best for a fellow Bong. But this is par for the course in Karnataka too, the same whining if Anil Kumble or Dravid are dropped or if Srinath was not playing. This reorganization of states on a linguistic basis was a really bad idea.
