Scraps Stuffs - Random musings from apun ka desh

Most people in Bangalore seemed to have a holiday today for Ayudh Pooja/Vijay Dashmi so the roads were pretty empty. As a result I had a smooth drive to work. Oh, how I love such days :-)

Yesterday, though, was pretty horrible. I was stuck for close to an hour on Sarjapur Road. Some idiot had created a grid lock and as usual assorted so-called educated people just had to drive on the wrong side of the road in their hurry to get to wherever. Creating an even bigger mess that couldn't be fixed fast. As usual there wasn't a traffic cop in sight. And what was worse was that KSRP cops sitting in their police van didn't bother to get off their fat arses and help regulate traffic. I badly wanted to do so, but that would mean leaving my car stuck in the middle of the narrow road causing chaos. Luckily there were a few people who helped out, cajoled, threatened, persuaded and convinced people to move in an orderly manner and helped clear the traffic.

Why do we need the police then?
