Is the Shankaracharya isolated?
Is the Shankaracharya isolated?
The treatment meted out to the head of the Mutt is in strong contrast to that meted out to politicians when they are arrested. Also to non-Hindu religious leaders if they ever are arrested. This treatment of a revered religious leader by the fat amma of Chennai has caused me to lose whatever respect I had for her.
The lack of protests by the Shankaracharya's devotees is puzzling indeed.
