I watched a number of movies in Mumbai because I hadn't seen movies in a long time in Bangalore because of the stupid agitation that is going on in Bangalore against non-Kannada movies. The following were the movies I saw

1. Dhoom - wasn't all that it was hyped up to be. Amateurish action sequences, a wannabe Hollywood movie without the technical brilliance. Esha Deol has started showing lots of skin, wonder what mama Hema and garam Dharam have to say. On second thoughts she really shouldn't be as she has lots of fat to lose before she looks good on screen with skimpy clothes. Uday Chopra can't act to save his life, hams endlessly. Esha is atleast a bit better.

2. Let's Talk - strangely enough I enjoyed this although critics have panned this movie. Arzoo Govitrikar is a hottie and so is Yamini Namjoshi. Nice eye candy.

3. Phir Milenge - nice performances from the gorgeous Shilpa Shetty and Abhishek B.

4. Dance Like A Man - a lovely performance from the clasically beautiful Shobhana. Arif Zakaria turns in a nice performance too. Others are useless, except Mohan Agashe. The telling contrast was watching Anoushka Shankar dance and then watching Shobhana dance. Such grace and beauty from the Mitr actress.

5. Balle Balle: From Amritsar to LA - the Hindi version of Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice. Absolutely awful and a bloody waste of time. The movies confirms yet again that although Aishwarya Rai is a totally gorgeous babe, she can't act to save her life. She's stiff.

I missed Aliens Vs Predator, something that I absolutely wanted to watch :-(
